Glass Slipper
I want my glass slipper,
can't tell you how bad.
I want my prince and
my carriage gold clad.
I don't want my first dance
to be my sad last.
I want a friend who
will forget my past.
Someone to care for me
as person not thing.
I want to be judged
on me, not my rings.
But I simply cannot
sit and wait that long,
for no one will come
wave wand to my song.
