Don't hurt yourself, that is their plea
I care for you, can't you see?
Okay I won't, I'll stop tonight
I'll just pretend that I'm alright
But if I say no
The tears will flow
My heart will break
The pain I can't take

When you cry and cry till your stomachs sore
And you wanna give up, can't do it anymore
You smile to your friends and say you're just fine
But deep in your heart its just a rehearsed line
Drops of blood rolling down on your skin
Feels so much better than what goes on within
"It was the cat." "I just scraped a fence."
You live your life in constant defense

I know where you are and what you're going through
I know it hurts, but stay strong, I'm proud of you
You held on one more day
And now we know you're gonna be okay
So remember its okay to shed a tear
And don't live your life always in fear
God will provide, he loves you now and loved you then
So hold on tonight, I pray once again

I'm hoping this provides comfort and relevancy to those who are depressed, cut themselves, or have loved ones that do.
And remember, no matter how big your struggle is, God can help you through it.
