A House Divided
On the front lines of it all,
the piper makes the call.
The fortress, battered and rammed,
makes one last stand.
Dusk creeps up like a frosty winter mist
and cannons give one last hiss.
Barefoot soldiers defend the gate
and begin to realize their utter fate.
Some say fight, some say flee.
And so begins the battle of eternity.
The piper plays his tune
And the dead reach for you.
So go Lincoln’s words,
“A house divided cannot stand.”
