Selfless Thoughtful
Selfless thoughtful,
same sweet boy.
Never ending thoughts of you,
kind words gently soothe.
I’m fragile and complicated,
isn’t everyone? So easily read by you.
Pieces fall into place, or so I thought.
Protect me from injury shield me from harm,
but instead you unravel my heart like yarn.
I’ve left the hurt behind for someone else to find.
When I look in his eyes, I see love there.
All my life I’ve looked and looked,
but apparently not everywhere.
You’d always been there from the start.
Never ending thoughts of you fill my heart, cloud my mind.
You opened my eyes, opened my heart,
so why did everything have to end
when I'm surrounded by memories I thought were just beginning?
