Fake Smile
Fake smiles plastered on,
I bite my tongue,
and smile from ear to ear.
I know we don’t see eye to eye,
just know my brokenness is inside.
I hide it from you,
I don’t want you to feel it too.
Shatter me
I hope one day you’ll be my glue.
Shield me,
from the pain
protect me
from the memories of you
shade me
from the light like you used to.
Fake smiles plastered on,
shatter me,
I’m already lost.
Break me,
I’m already broken,
yet somehow I still hang on
with a fake smile plastered on.
