Prison
The chains around me tighten,
The earth below me shakes,
The walls began to close me in,
My roof begins to quake.
I can't escape this prison,
No one will bail me out,
I'll die in these forsaken cuffs,
My heart is full of doubt.
My soul has slowly shriveled up,
My bones begin to crack,
My blood quickly turns to stone,
My stomachs full of plaque.
My hair becomes brittle,
My skin turns to glass,
My liver simply fades away,
My lungs are filled with brass.
I lay here on this cold wet floor,
No one can hear me scream,
No one even cared to look,
I hope this is a dream.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.
