The Wolf
The wolf; known to live alone,
Howling to a full moon.
Watching it rise into the sky,
Knowing it will fall again soon.
So lonely, so misunderstood.
Roaming lonely in the dark;
A beautiful thing, left alone,
Cold with a broken and lonely heart.
Dark is creeping, pulling him back,
He moves forward, eyes wide.
In the dark he can escape,
In the dark he can hide.
But such a sad tale he lives through,
The wolf never did ask for much.
Yet he cries every month to his love: the moon;
A love he will never touch.
