She's gone
Get used to my smile that's clearly fake
And the destruction I leave in my wake.
I realise I can no longer be strong;
My defence had been pounded far too long.
Arms of loneliness questioned my pride
Because yours were never open wide,
This weakness drove me to independence,
All I needed was my own defence.
I'll cry if I must, I'll know it's alright,
You won't see those tears at the dead of night.
I'll be out of sight, tucked away,
When I leave I leave my emotions at bay.
Just like the moon, a parts always missing,
The future is past, no time for reminiscing.
This smile I wear that's plastered on
Shows the one who could never let go, has gone.
