Broken Record
It started off simple
Like every little song
A few words were said, smiles shared
But the chorus brought new light
The high of the song burned brightly
She didn't know how, or why
But she knew one thing
She didn't mind the intensity
Of the flame.
She got hurt, that's assumed
But not the way you would think.
Bruises where shown, but they
Were only battle wounds,
Gained when they fought side by side.
No the ache wasn't physical
This mental image of a ghost
Is what stuck in her head
This experation date that screamed at her
She didn't want to listen to his song,
No not a first,
But the more she listened,
The faster she fell.
So ends the tale of our
Broken record gal
