The Last Time I Saw Her
The last time I saw her,
She was quiet; barely there,
Now she's grown up and wild,
With shades of blue in her hair.
The last time I saw her,
Innocence was what she wore,
Now she's feminine and wise,
And has her mind on something more.
The last time I saw her,
She seemed to act shy,
Now she's happy to argue
And has challenge in her eye.
The last time I saw her,
I thought she’d stay that way forever,
Now it’s like she's aged a lifetime
Since we were last together.
