I held the shirt,
that smells like you.
You promised me,
that we weren't through.
All alone,
in my empty bed.
I watched,
as my arm bled.
Blood stained my heart.
We were torn apart.
I cried,
till the end of time.
And I prayed,
maybe someday you'd be mine.

My boyfriend had just ended it with me after a very long relationship. I am not proud of this but it did happen and I do regret it. This was the worst possible way I could have handled the breakup.
