Breakaway
A sky without redundant clouds,
The day she had to go.
Her suitcase dragging on the floor,
While crushing cream white snow.
She thought of those she left behind,
while heart sank apropos
She tried to fight the fears within,
Not to let it show.
The terminal lady gently spoke,
Cuz' it was time to go.
She tried her best but she can't stop,
her tears that overflow.
I see this girl from years ago,
standing in the crowd.
Confused to move but still marched on,
With sparking eyes so proud.
The throbbing engines shook the plane,
Its rumbling shook her up.
She stared outside the small window,
Confused like a lost pup.
Her footsteps hit the foreign ground.
A whole new world ahead.
Not knowing where her future lay,
Her heart sunk, full of dread.
Surrounded by a million men,
but feeling so alone.
Her dark hair blown by foreign winds,
Her future unbeknown.
I see this girl from years ago,
standing in the crowd.
Confused to move but still marched on,
With sparking eyes so proud.
But she's the one that's brave from heart.
Chasing after dreams.
Her visage emits confidence,
radiant with a beam.
Pursuing dreams like hunting hounds,
She set her spirit free.
Agility and diligence
Exude her espirit.
She struggled on the path her chose,
As roses all have thorns.
But even though her hands were pierced,
You never hear her mourn.
Yes, she was me but years ago.
Yes, she will never regret.
Her crops don't just proliferate,
Without her shedding sweat.
I see this girl from years ago,
standing in the crowd.
Confused to move but still marched on,
With sparking eyes so proud.
