And I Shall Know
Catch my salty tears as they fall
Into the majestic beauty you call a fountain
Let the radiant sun kiss my tear-stained cheek
And I shall know that you love me then
Wrap your strong, loving arms about me
Hold me in an embrace so warm and sweet
Tell me all I'm facing will end
Just let my tortured soul free
One by one wipe my many tears
Brush my hair and tell me I am beautiful
Show me the rainbow shining through the clouds
Kiss my nose though it is cold
Laugh with me as we chase the wind together
Hug me close when I get sad
Sprinkle your glittering love over me
Maybe you can make me glad
Listen to every single word I speak
Make me feel wanted...important
Stare into my eyes like I'm a beautiful thing
Not garbage who's not worth it
Do to me what you believe is right
Because I trust your judgment
Never hurt me in any solitary way
And I shall know that you love me then
