Light or Dark
Underneath the right pressure
You can be a diamond,
But you can also turn to dust,
If you must.
Will you crack
Or will you turn something broken into something beautiful?
Will you romanticize young ones’ sweet demise,
So you can hide behind the true meanings of wrong and right?
Take this token of light-
Oh, what a sight.
How blinding hope is,
Is the light or dark more blinding?
You can stare into the darkness,
But the sun-
Oh, the sun burns when it hits your eyes directly.
When light is filtered it helps you see what is in front of you
Without getting too blinded by false hope.
The light itself is harmful,
Hope truly is powerful in nature,
But then again,
My friend,
The dark is not truly what you are scared of,
It’s what is hiding in it.
You need a bit of light to see in the dark,
Gradually as to not be blinded by the hope that was never there before,
But then you can see.
