Call me brilliant

Hearing you call me brilliant is like another language
curse your genes
curse my dreams
all i thought that i could be
others listen but i hear
oil's greasing all my gears
now it's spilling out my ears
forming irrational fears
i don't much like the dark or catching fireflies
all i can see is lights flashing before my eyes
our irises shrink in the daytime
i know nothing but the truth and that's why i am stupid
