let you go
my fingertips
hesitated
over
the screen,
the reflection showing
only swollen
red eyes
and crescent
stamps
underneath them.
i gazed
at the photos of us
in happier times,
the ghost of you
accompanying
the
desirable past.
my heart,
sore with the pressure,
told me what to do.
so today,
i pressed the button,
and i deleted
you.
-i can love you but
still let you go, and
i should.
