There is no beauty in the sun.
There is no beauty in the sun
There are only the millions of miles distancing us from it
And the thousands of degrees of heat that burn so bright we cannot stare at it for too long
There is no beauty in the stars
For they are just like the sun
Only many more millions of miles away
There is only is only their constant presence in your gaze
There is no beauty in your eyes
There is only the blank stare that you place upon me now
As you see me here,
Standing,
Crying,
Hurting,
But still loving you
There is now only a shadow of you
And the searing gaze that burns my skin like the sun.
