forgotten
I am the last purple popsicle
In a bag filled with
Blue, and green, and red
I am the last street light in an urban neighborhood
Flickering
I am the last friend left standing on the block wondering
How 12 bikes became 1 bike
And 24 black hands became 2 black hands
I am that last shoebox in the back of the closet, the one no one opens
For fear of having to rebandage already alcohol swabbed wounds
