teen desires
The moon as wide as my want of freedom
Freedom to be free of all things binding
Binding me like the strings of an elmo muppet
Holding on not letting go.
I want freedom from all things leeching
Things I can’t say but god forbid can feel
tomorrow,
the next morning,
Or the morning after that.
Can feel in my undestined escape from the one thing not created by man
The nature of it all
A place isolated for teens
To smoke, or drink, or engage in the most sinful of sin.
Away from strict parents
Away from burdens of adulthood
Away from burdens of inescapable permanence
I want freedom.
