Inevitable
I am from temporary places
Changing and rearranging my definition of home
From airplanes and 14 hour drives
Blazing hot summers and freezing cold winters
From shorter visits and more miles
I am from wondering where I belong
But somehow I knew I’d be okay
I am from blurred memories and forgotten times
Hidden thoughts, repressed and confused
From self deprecation and lonely nights
Where can I go’s? And where will I go?
But somehow I knew I’d be okay
I am from isolation and dirt roads to mesmerizing sunsets and mountain passes
New days and new company
From self realization and more self love
Finding passions and making friends along the way
From trial and error and forever being homesick when I don’t know what to call home
I am from everything and everywhere I have been
From the strong belief that life is a journey and there’s a reason for everything
And somehow I know I’m gonna be okay
