Cities fall,

Leaders die out,

Things burn,

And everything eventually dies.

Yet even through all this,

One thing

Remains.

That thing,

So specatcular it is,

Yet it so simple;

Love.

However,

I’m afraid that this generation

Overuses that word.

It is such a simple word,

But much too overused.

Granted,

If it were underused

We’d all lose absolutely

Everything.

Our closest friends,

Our family,

Our lives.

Love should only be used

In the sense

Of simplicity and grace.

Love is mystical.

Unless it becomes a toy.

It is not supposed to be

Just a toy.

It is like a cherry

Finishing an icecream.

Some people take love for granted.

Something to be taken lightly.

But that isn’t what love

Is here for though.

Not in the slightest.

Some people may think

Love is here for pleasure.

And in a sense,

The right sense,

It is oh so true.

But many people,

Silly, silly people,

Find that love is

A weakness,

And that sensitivity

Is also a weakness.

But neither of those things

Are true.

For actually,

Sensitivity and love

Are strengths.

To love and to be sensitive

Is something everything

Longs for deeply.

Unless you are cold hearted,

They never mind you!

But to accomplish the ability

To love and be sensitive,

Is the greatest

Anyone can have.
