The Child

The child plays in the garden
with a smile that lights up your day,
Unaware of the scene around him.
His grandfather passed off
When he was very young,
his father is heading
Down the same path.
Child asks the father
“What’s that in your hand?”
The father responds, “nothing much,
go outside and play.
