How to juggle the sky
The bright flashes, lightning in your hands
Back and forth – back and forth
The sweet grass, experienced intimately as you bend down
To retrieve the fallen ball
It is not a failure, a broken promise
It is your chance. To brush noses with the world,
Pick it up again. To cradle your tiny pieces of
The heavens within sweaty palms, addled minds,
And throw them
Hundreds of times
Till you are liberated from reality, and can fly away, to return
The three little stars to their place in the sky
Where they may rest
Until tomorrows show
