Drowning in the Deep Cold Sea
The white capped waves roll by
Reflecting a grey, gently drizzling sky
Spraying salty mist high into the air
Speaking subtly in tongues I cannot interpret
about matters I cannot comprehend
I am ripped from my comfortable floating position
Fiercely shoved beneath the ocean foam
Held under the sea until my lungs ache for breath
Until my skin turns grey and pain courses through my veins
I am allowed to the surface once more
Holding my throbbing temples, I yell at the sea
Expecting the tide to throw itself at my feet
But the white capped waves continued to roll by
