Story Of My Life
I am from the Midwest,
from a state where icicles hang from houses,
while my gray, brick house hides under inches of snow.
I am from one of the oldest high schools in the midwest,
where the sounds of birds chirping fill my heart with love,
and the silver trumpet accompanying me for seven years.
I am from a family of four,
a 5’10’’ man with grey hair, with a personality that warms my heart,
a 5’3’’ teenage girl with brown hair, who impacts my heart with love.
I am from a place that makes sandwiches, soups, and salads,
a restaurant that supports our community,
a restaurant that’s been open since 2001.
I am from an acting background,
as nailing jelly to a tree
since the seventh grade.
I am from a love of mathematics,
a math teacher at Arrowhead with personality,
who instilled in me his love.
