Prey.
You were a snake.
Tightly wrapping yourself around me,
going for the kill.
Your long, cold body surrounding every inch of mine.
Slithering and sneaking yourself into the cracks my life,
through everything I once knew.
The green leathery scales entirely engulfing me.
I let you in.
Built you a shelter and cared for you.
But you were dangerous,
venomous,
And lucky for you,
Snakes are my favorite animal
