#2 the Upward March
Hey kid, I wrote you letter kid!
Yes I see that your not much better kid,
I know now that it doesn't matter how much I tell you about the light
Because I didn't fill you with the fight,
The want, the need to get better is what you need, I could bleed words but it wouldn’t help or do any good deed,
you need deeds, action
reaction
Hiding you emotions puts your brain in traction, kid don’t make your brain be traction. Want to be better kid,
Desire to be ok again,
That way you may be ok
I want you to someday learn to never stray
To stay ok
Say again kid?
You don’t matter?
Your substance is not worth the work?
you think someone as madonna-esque is gonna end up a clerk behind a mess of a desk or worse dancing burlesque?
You think your destined to be paid to show your chest because some rich dude got in a mood so he called you up nude, and asked if you want food, so he could feel crude for an hour maybe two,
Three weeks later you got a baby what do you do,
So you hiiiiiide your bump from you shrimp of a pimp
Wear clothes that don’t emphasize your bump as you skimp out on you morales for wimp after wimp who has none,
You let these pricks rest on their laurels as if there is some war they’ve won
And you know any day you’re done having fake fun.
Cuz you'll make one wrong move you’ll make one mistake
When the boss finds out and he beats you till you break
And hit after hit he beats out the living sh** you’re covered in sweat blood and spit
and you pray that the barrage
will cause a miscarriage
cuz there ain't no marriage
for your kid to be born to
and somewhere there's a father whose death they'll never mourn,
you are dead in every aspect sept literal your body slowly loses every nutrient every mineral. You think youll die taking a bottle of Tylenol and you'll want to be free. And this will all happen before you turn 33. I know that's not what you'll be.
Kid, between you and me, you wont be on heroin, you be a heroine with an E as in the hero out hero’in you'll be the one to decrease the fear of the feminine. You be the one who brings men and women in to the fight for the light, with your bark and bite you'll light and pass the torch.
Kid you'll be the upward march.
You don't need to believe it now kid
You don't have to figure out the how now kid
But even now you deserve to take a bow kid.
I love you.
