Confusion
Time and time again
I look across the plains of confusion
I look through the grassy fields and the wet swamps
I look to find an idea
Something to cure me of my wandering mind
Once I find it, everything will change
The plains will turn into a jungle of ideas
The grass will grow mushrooms and new life
And my mind can escape into reality once more
But for now, I am stuck with the plains
Stuck in the wandering world where thoughts escape my mind
And reality flies off like a bird
Stuck in the classroom in which these thoughts are made
Stuck looking at the wood marks in the desk until the teacher says “due tomorrow!”
I am stuck in confusion

I was inspired to write this poem because I feel like I never know what is going on in class.
