The Falling of the Tree
It all started with two
Our tree began to grow
every advancing branch
Wind would spread our leaves
If no one is around to hear the sound
Of the falling tree,
Does it even make a sound?
This tree did
Everyone knew it was falling
No one could fix it
We lost half the trunk
When the angels flew you away
The tree fought to stand
Nothing can last
Without the other half
Losing the glue that held us together
We lost each other.
