The Water Is Alive
The water is alive
Sending out vibrations
Loud enough for only those listening close enough to hear
The light reflecting off the surface
Attracting people like another shiny object
The perimeter comes to life as the water dances under the warmth of the sun
Birds and animals of all kinds putting on a show like fireworks on the fourth of July
Singing as their wings create a slight breeze in the air
Just grazing the surface of the water
Feeling the cold ripples brush their feathers
Voices, laughter, and love radiate from every direction
Close your eyes
Deep breath in
Open your eyes
And deep breath out
Air so fresh it cleanses your palette
Starting new and making way for the scents of summer to wash over you
