Enough
Enough
By:Tucker Hauff
I’ve had enough of all this stuff,
From bellyaching to those rolling eyes.
Let me explain why I do what I do,
And I know you don’t want to hear it, but frankly I don’t care.
Constructive criticism is when you help someone make their piece better,
It’s not being fed-up with something just because you don’t like or understand it.
It’s not making someone feel so bad about their writing style that they constantly rethink it,
Constructive criticism is about balancing what you like and what you don’t like about something,
It’s supposed to help mold someone’s writing, not put them back at square one.
I get it, we haven’t always seen eye to eye,
You just want to express yourself,
Using an emoji would be better to take,
As my spirit begins to brake, I understand what you mean,
But I’m not going to be your bull’s-eye,
I’m not putting up with your bulls*** from now on.
I’m a free bird, leaving the cage whether you like it or not.
This is not a request, this is a command.
I refuse to be your puppet, just waiting for my strings to be pulled.
I’m not Raggedy Andy, and I refuse for my writing to be dragged through the mud.
You say you have good intentions, but I see them as rude and vulgar comments.
People say take the comments with a pinch of salt, but it’s hard to do that, when it feels like the salt is constantly being thrown in your face over and over again.
Because whether you like it or not, I’m still going to do me.
And if you don’t like it, I don’t care.
