Never thought I would be able to get here
Never thought I would have a chance like this
Never did I think I could provide for my family
Never did I think I wouldn’t struggle
Never thought my family could have a better life
I am blessed for the opportunity
Others aren’t as lucky
With all the positives there do come some negatives
I would be segregated
I wouldn’t have a lot of job options
I would have the fear of deportation
But through it all,
I am an Immigrant
We are immigrants

I wrote this piece thinking about immigrants and their perspective on coming to the United States. Although i've never experienced this, my family members have. And i'm blessed to have these oppurtunities that many sadly don't have.
