James' Arc
When you pull the pin on the faucet head,
It switches the running water from the bath to the shower
I take long hot showers
To drown my stress
After the shower,
Sometimes the pin sticks and that leftover water is stuck in limbo
Between the bath and the shower
Cold
Stale water
Building up
And sometimes I feel like that shower
With the old water in my pipes
Cold
Stale water
Building up
And you’re the one that pulls the pin
To ignite an overdue explosion of relief and satisfaction
That pours from me

I think that beauty can be found in the most mundain of objects. This piece was taken from a series of pieces I wrote about people I love. This one is about my boyfriend and how he makes me feel. Its an odd comparison but I think the uniqueness of it helps to better capture that strange unique feeling of being loved.
