Anticipation
There is a desire
for life to reset
but a storm is brewing
and twisted, gnarled butterflies
swarm is a knotted stomach
life goes pale
the dreaded deadline
inching closer
skipping things that
were neccessary
but ignored
a face, hot with
tears is stuffed in
hands that
are tearing apart
from the inside
for a reason
that was thought
to be overcome,
but wormed its way
into your heart.
