smile as free as the sea, eyes that sparkle like a scorching scarlet starlit sky

And even if all things good come to an end

Keep on chasing that butterfly

We are young forever

with passion painted purple pink and peach

And endless energy etched in emerald

And the beauty of each

Moment, even if what we have is just ephemeral 

Youth is a steady fresh breath 

Youth is happiness in the flesh 

Youth is a wish with wings wandering in the wind

Youth is a safe haven,  like a cup of sweet tea

Until you're stolen by reality

We are young forever, right?

You’re still happy, right?

Can you laugh loud and long and live your life?

Not restrained or even having to put up a fight, right?

Everything will be alright?

Right?

Are we young forever?

Suddenly, you're restrained under your professor’s dictation

And all that matters is graduation

What about my educational foundation?

School fades from fun to finals, fears and tears of frustration

Are we really young forever?

time dies, so why am i trying?

striving crying climbing

I die with memories of my youth

They are so full of life, but here I am, under a knife

Wondering, was that really the truth?

We are young forever

Like a mantra its repeated just to keep them sane
