I love my nation too
You can hate me
For speaking up,
For raising my voice
Mock me for my choice,
But, I love my nation too.
You can hate me
For not loving my leaders,
For what I feed the readers
But, I love my nation too.
You can hate me
When I don’t stand up for ‘jan-gana-mana’,
or for not singing ‘Ae vatan, Ae vatan’
But, I love my nation too.
For I have the courage
To stand up for my nation,
To speak against the injustice
And seek a path to liberation
For I have the compassion
To treat all lives with equality,
To hold the hand of minority
And stand strong against brutality.
Because, I live in a democratic India
And I will practice my every right
You talk about the loss of property?
What’bout the loss of nation’s prosperity?
Call me hater, call me names
Label me anti-national, whatever you may,
I’m still gonna fight till the end of the day
Because, I love my nation too!
