the most boring thing

as you grow older you start to realize
that thing things as a kid
were a lot more fun in your eyes
one of my favorite things
would be to stare at a paper
words were spread across it
but the pictures my mind created
were the most bizarre things
i could have imagined
i could do it for hours
just stare at these words
the most boring thing ever
when i look back
was reading a book
but now i wish for it back
