Always
Hold onto me as my roots grow longer
As they twist and warp and burrow
My corpses piling up
Gathering like sticks
Then burning down to ashes
Eventually
How skeletons roam the earth freely
Rent-free
Paper bones
Straw skull
Existing precariously till they’re
Blow away
Till they’re burnt
Used as kindling by the world
Their bodies disposable
Perpetually smoldering
