A Quaint Touch of Silence
Earth hurdles through space
You can hear it too, if you place your ear on your pillow
And it sings off your skin
As it squeezes on your temple
But you know what it is
you can feel your heart run
Two
And you realize
That’s all there’s to it
So you sleep
Just the same as all
Everywhere and forever
And it’s never sounded any different
Silence
So that makes you feel a bit better
And the worlds always spun the same
Hopefully
