Tug-of-war
I look at him and see a fierce eye, white, sharp teeth baring.
I hear determination in his voice as he fights to gain control.
He lies down, paws at his side as he waits for his next opportunity to strike at the rope.

This is a poem I wrote in Creative Writing class. I wanted to make it about playing tug-of-war with my dog. I thought I could make a creative twist at the end, because the reader, at the beginning of the poem, does not know what is quite happening untill the last sentence of the poem.
