In the 1950s, we were weak

In the past, we were fraile 

They say, we’ll do the work and you stay in the kitchen

Though now as your kingdom falls

All you words, turn into chains

As the misogyny showing me how to break free from your cage


The author's comments:

This piece is about the problems of today and how the extreme views have increased the more likely chance for a man to experience toxic masculinity and a women to not feel free and independent.
