good old days

My favorite item collects dust in a locker
It is my little league helmet that I wore my last year of playing
It is a clean white with a variety of marks from the fields, other helmets and uniforms
With a powdered coating of dust
It once collected marks
Now only dust
Walking by it reminds me of the punt blocks and tackles
And my favorite memory my kick return
Now I don't even get to play football anymore
Its my last year of highschool and sadly it will only collect dust.
