A Present from the Future
Our world is plagued from COVID
Our world is conflicted with inequality
Our world is dying from climate change
Yet we live our lives like it’s just another day
It’s hard for
The ones that must
Work just as hard as
The blood of their ancestors
But by then, going back was bad
What was ultimately awaiting us though?
Raw, bloodthirsty, gory torture?
Or dreaming on the luscious fluffs of cloud nine?
Old in appearance, but young at heart
Heart and love, till death do us part
Part of society that doesn’t know where to start
Start at the part of the heart only to restart
