roses on vines
blushes on cheeks
blood on a needle
stop signs on streets
a feeling that swells
from the center of you
which only arises
when one becomes two
to feel such a red
bloom from your heart
a rose without thorns
a sign that says start
green always meant go
but if you really look
red is a sign
that love has taken rook
