The weight of our lives
We trudge along the paths to our futures
Weighed down by the expectations,
Of our parents, our peers, and our teachers.
All of us from different nations,
But alike in our distress
The road ahead is shrouded in fog,
And no eyes that live can pierce it,
We ourselves have created this smog,
Of indecision and broken spirit,
Of forgotten joy and peace.
