Pain locked away
Rain runs down the windowpane,
Mirrored by tears running down her face,
As she weeps for the life she has.
Soon it will be gone,
with no possibility of return,
She will have to start anew.
The new kid at a school,
With rules she doesn't understand,
She doesn't want to do this, but knows she must.
She cant let go of the life she has,
But the need to move on is strong,
Stronger than the urge to stay.
She shoves her pain into a cupboard,
Located in her mind,
And locks the door.
But pain is an expert at picking locks,
At coming where its not wanted,
At reminding about the wounds.

Some people are really good at hiding their mental pain, but you cant hold it in forever.
