The Artist’s Hand
A paintbrush blends the sky
The colors twinkle with the end of the day
Our troubles subside
Issues step into the shadows
For now is our time
Now is our song
The artist grants me the right
Grants my heart to take flight
And soar into the sun
Like Icarus I will fall
Feathers surrounding me
All because of the artist who blends the sky
The artist who paints the sky took a break
For it is also the end of his day
So now in his absence I am left to say
That my words for you
Have led me askew, and now?
Now everything’s wrong.
But that’s okay
For now it’s the end of the day
While it pains me that I can’t stay
Here I must lay
My fate painted by the artist’s hand
