Inhala, Exhala
I breathe you in as if this is my first
time, my first time
taking a deep breath,
I won’t lie
I’ve been holding in that sigh of relief
Since we parted ways last
It may not have been long but
It felt like forever
All I want is for you to be
The air I breathe
I’ve never found someone
Who I hold my breath till
I see them again
I know I’m not the only one
Who lets out a sigh of relief
Only to feel safe for
What is never enough time
Feeling safe is not simple in the world we live in but I'm lucky to have a few people who make me feel safer by simply making eye contact.
