Cacophony
Noises and textures
Feelings I can’t understand
Staring
People are staring
My arm is itchy
Everybody sounds stressed
Voices are raised
Tension
They enjoy the tension
They call it debate
But they don’t understand
That they’re talking over each other
Cacophony
Their voices are a cacophony
An amalgamation of sound
Creating a discourse
Smashing the keys of a piano
So they crunch
Stop
I can’t get it
They overlap
Yet when I try
I get yelled at
Awful
Their looks are awful
Their voices are awful
My arm is awful
My shirt tag is awful
My mattress is awful
My period is awful
My tongue in my mouth is awful
But it’s all a dissonant blur of senses
All I know
Is.
I.
Want.
It.
To.
Stop.
