Untamable
The sky grows gray as the clouds loom high,
Shadows fall across the sky,
Happiness bare as winter trees,
At least that’s what it seems,
But to me this is a time for relaxation,
And to make a realization,
That I am powerless,
Though how somber it seems,
I cannot move air and shake the trees,
I cannot summon rain from the sky,
Or shake the earth with jolts that quickly pass by,
We are just human,
And though we feel as though we control,
We don’t,
And never will have true power,
But this is comforting in some senses,
We don't have the responsibility of dicisions that could change things,
All we have is influencing kings,
We still can't tame the untamable,
Even as we try.
